NextSource feasibility study results provide ‘impressive’ reduction capital costs

NextSource feasibility study

NextSource feasibility study Brent Nykoliation, Senior Vice President of Corporate Development at NextSource Materials Inc. (TSX: NEXT | OTCQB: NIOBF) (“NextSource”) in an interview with InvestorIntel CEO Tracy Weslosky discuss NextSource’s recent feasibility study results for their graphite Molo Project, located in Madagascar. Brent states NextSource has reduced their capital costs down to “$18.4 million dollars to build an entire graphite mine putting out 17,000 tons.” NextSource ’s original feasibility was close to $200 million for the capex. Brent also states that NextSource’s Molo Project is able to produce graphite with “98% purity just with standard floatation” and their graphite deposit is “almost 50% of large and jumbo flake.”

Tracy Weslosky: I love your most recent news release. This is your second feasibility study results. Can you give us an update?

NextSource feasibility study

Brent Nykoliation: We brought out a feasibility updated and we reduced our capital costs down to $18.4 million dollars to build an entire graphite mine putting out 17,000 tons. Our original feasibility was close to $200 million dollars for the capex.

Tracy Weslosky: For those of you out there that do not know the NextSource Materials story, this is one you should know because of your graphite. Can you explain why you have such a competitive graphite flake?

Brent Nykoliation: Our project is called the Molo Project. It’s in Madagascar. Madagascar has been renowned for having one of the highest quality flakes in the world for decades. Madagascar has been shipping graphite for over 100 years. We happen to have a very high propensity of large flake and a very high purity flake.

Tracy Weslosky: There’s fake graphite and there’s real graphite. We would argue this is the real graphite. Why?

Brent Nykoliation: All graphite is different. It has to depend on the actual project. Where our project actually sits we just were blessed with a very, very high purity graphite. It’s not the very grade in the ground. It’s actually the resulting product when you actually do the floatation. We can get up to 98% purity just with standard floatation and we have a very large percentage of large flake. Almost 50% of our deposit is large and jumbo flake

GoPro IncGPRO Stock Gaining Popularity Again?

In the past 12-month, GoPro Inc (NASDAQ:GPRO) stock has been trading deep in the doldrums. Now, things might start to change.

Known as the maker of action cameras, GoPro stock had enjoyed solid gains since it went public two years ago. However, once people realized that not everybody needed a GoPro camera, things went south. In the past year, GPRO stock plunged a whopping 80%.

There is a silver lining in every cloud, though. Once the stock’s valuation gets low enough, any sign.

So, is GPRO stock on its way back up, or is this just a one-time event?

Well, judging by what the company just said about its current business, GoPro stock could get some much-needed optimism from investors.

GoPro Camera: Still the Go-to Choice for Consumers

Despite the change in sentiment since last summer, GoPro cameras are still around. Sales aren’t as great as before but the company’s position in the action camera market is still solid. According to the NPD Group’s Retail Tracking Service, GoPro accounted for six of the top 10 products on a unit basis in the digital camera category in the U.S. in the second quarter. Moreover, its “Hero 4 Silver” camera remained the best-selling camera for the seventh consecutive quarter.

If GoPro cameras are still popular, why did sales plunge so much last year? Well, in an interview with CNBC on Thursday, GoPro’s founder and chief executive officer, Nick Woodman, said that last year’s revenue suffered because the company had too many products.

Can the BoJ Provide Anything but Disappointment for USD/JPY

Strap yourselves in because your USD/JPY stops aren’t going to help you make money today! Oh you know, just a lazy 200 pip M1 move during Asia! With whipsaws such as this coming during thin, Asian session trade, there is every chance that your day trading stop loss will be knocked out as the market whipsaws. Headlines and rumours around any looming additions to the bank’s stimulus package are sure to keep coming, all the way into the Bank of Japan’s Monetary Policy Statement. But in saying that, the technical nature of markets even during times of panic never ceases to amaze me:Anyway let’s get back on track and take a step

32/42 analysts surveyed by Bloomberg in July predict that the BoJ will announce further easing. This has meant that the market has been highly expectant, rallying from the previous swing lows on that daily chart on nothing but expectation. And where there’s expectation, there disappointment if it goes unmet.

With Prime Minister Shinzo Abe approving a ¥28 trillion fiscal stimulus package last Wednesday, there is also going to be an inherent expectation on their end for the BoJ to increase their own asset purchasing program, and possible further cuts into negative rates… Now lets not even bring up the words helicopter money!

Technically, price is still 500 pips off that swing low on the daily chart above, where price started rallying in expectation. That leaves a LOT of room for disappointment!

Checking the economic calendar the BOJ statement and the time is listed as tentative. Normally the release time is between 2.30 am GMT and 3.30 am GMT.
