This morning, the precious metal traded at a high of $1288.50 per ounce and a low of $1283.20 per ounce. Yesterday, gold traded 0.14% lower in the New York session and closed at $1286.70 per ounce, as strength in the US equities dented demand for the precious yellow metal. Immediate downside, the first support level is seen at $1282.63 per ounce, while on the upside, the first resistance level is at $1294.23 per ounce.
Gold increased 0.70 USD/t oz. or 0.05% to 1,285 on Tuesday April 18 from 1,284.30 in the previous trading session. Historically, Gold reached an all time high of 1898.25 in September of 2011 and a record low of 34.83 in January of 1970.
